Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can i check in anytime after your check in time of 3pm?
A: Yes check in can be anytime after 3pm. The keys are in a lock box and we text you the code for this box just prior to your booked dates.
We would advise having a flashlight app on your phone if arriving when its dark so you can find and see the lock box.

A: Yes there is additional parking located just down from our chalet.

Q: Is the nearest beach within walking distance of Idris Heights?
A: No, it is roughly 1.5 miles (10 mins) away but no footpaths around the coastal roads. We do have plenty of flyers for local Taxi companies.
Q: How much would a taxi be from Idris Heights to Aberdovey town center?
A: Roughly we know that Dyfi Cabs (07831 551538) would charge around £7.00 approx, after midnight this goes up as with most cab firms.

A: We have a small fridge / freezer – see pics here

Top Tips for enjoying your stay at Idris Heights (last updated April 23rd 2015):
- Take slippers or footwear for inside (a creature comfort so often forgotten)
- Phone signal is dubious to say the least (O2 for example, 3G let alone 4G – not happening), best networks we have found are EE & 3, these give great 3G signals.
- Take plenty of £1 or £2 coins as these will be needed for the electric.
- Bird seed/nuts are provided in the outside container, free of charge, should you wish to top up the feeders.
- Tea, Coffee and Powdered milk provided.
- Bottled water provided, we would advise using this for drinking water (kettle etc) as the main water supply is a natural spring and although way more pure than even bottled water does have a slight brownish tint to it which may put some people off, we drink it and have never had any issues.
- Please take your time climbing the windy road up to Idris Heights as there are pot holes and it is very steep.
